Our Trainers  Isaac Mendez grew up in a small town in Idaho. He participated in three sports: football, basketball, and tennis. He won the state title for tennis his senior year for the State of Idaho. He then went and played collegiate tennis for Lewis Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho. He played 4 years of collegiate tennis under the guidance of one of his mentors Kai Fong. Kai Fong taught him valuable life long lessons. Isaac graduated from Lewis Clark State College, and then attended graduate school at the University of Idaho. During Graduate school, Isaac did many internships to strengthen his knowledge of the physiology of the human body. He worked at a Rehab center in Lewiston, Idaho for 6 months. He was an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the University of Idaho, and Lewis Clark State College. He worked with Baseball, Football, and tennis athletes to give the athletes that edge over their opponents. "We worked on all around strength and cardiovascular to wear our opponents down." Isaac graduated from the University of Idaho with his masters in Exercise Physiology. Isaac has two years of personal training experience. He currently enjoys helping people change their lives around. He also likes running, lifting, playing all sports, and participating in races. Education and Experience: Masters in Exercise Science, Bachelors in Sports Medicine. Two years of internship in various collegiate sports. isaac@idealfitnessonline.net  Lionel Balland was born in Strasbourg, France and immigrated to the United States in 1991. Fluent in French and English, he now resides in the Green Lake area of Seattle. Lionel developed a strong understanding of other cultures while attending high school at an international boarding school where 32 different countries were represented. A varsity athlete in high school, Lionel has been athletic all of his life. He currently participates in many different sporting activities including triathlons, adventure races, soccer, basketball, tennis, biking, snowboarding, kayaking, hiking and climbing. A well-rounded fitness coach, Lionel has been a personal trainer for the past four years. He received his exercise specialist degree from Lake Washington Technical College, one of the highest regarded personal training programs in the country. Lionel holds two of the top three international certifications for personal training: the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Additionally, he is certified in First Aid and CPR.  Raised in Anchorage , Alaska , Stephanie Wayt, had the unique opportunity to develop her passion for physical fitness at an early age. Active in the Service High School volleyball program (State, Regions, and Conference Champions), she received many athletic honors such as Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Alaska, All Tournament teams for State and Regions, and Player of the Game for the State Championship Match. Stephanie also participated in and won the Ms. Service Bodybuilding competition and went on to receive a full ride athletic scholarship at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston , ID where she received the All- Academic team award and majored in Kinesiology. She continued her volleyball career after transferring to Seattle Pacific University where she will receive her bachelors in Exercise Science with a minor in business. Stephanie is certified through ACE (American Council on Exercise) for personal training, and is American Red Cross CPR/First Aid certified. She has had two years experience as a personal trainer working in Alaska , Spokane , and the Seattle/Bellevue area. Some of her specialized experience includes training for Acceleration Alaska, a speed and strength training program designed for athletes. She enjoys working with a wide variety of people, from individuals seeking improvement in their overall health and fitness to specialized team training. Stephanie has six years experience coaching 3rd through 12th grade volleyball players and has conducted her own skills camps. She has worked and interned for two Physical Therapy Clinics (A.P.T.A.K. in Anchorage , AK and APEX in Spokane , WA ) as well. Stephanie’s philosophy revolves around developing the complete person. She utilizes positive motivation and goal setting along with her training and nutrition guidance to ensure that each experience is beneficial and enjoyable.
